[edit] Lobbying

The FWR, as with the German Shooting Federation, the German equivalent of the National Rifle Association, Prolegal, the JSM, the VdW and FvLW, is registered as a lobbying group in the directory of the German Bundestag.[1]

International Forum on gun rights, along with BDMP, NRA, SAAMI and others, is a Founding member of the WFSA World Forum on the Future of Sport Shooting Activities, which is invited to all UN small arms conferences as an NGO with consultative status.

The FWR seeks the legal improvements by lobbying to change the law and to prevent new and more odious restrictions for legitimate gun owners. The association has been present at all Interior Ministry hearings into amendments to German firearms legislation.
