Tikka (and Sako) are now owned by Beretta. In 1888 Winchester and the Union Metallic Cartridge Company bought the Remington Arms Company. In 1896 Winchester sold its share but it's unclear why. In 1996 there was a merger between Lakefield Arms (Ontario), Savage Arms Inc., and Passive Bullet Traps Inc., amalgamating under the name Savage Sports Incorporated.
