Today is International Women's Day (bet you didn't think we knew that, did you?) and, contrary to what some people will tell you, women are just as interested in shooting sports and their right to defend themselves as men are. They also understand that developing the proper skills means practice, that practice means hitting the range on a regular basis, and that this can sometimes lead to a very important question:
"Is shooting while I'm pregnant bad for my baby?"

Even the most level-headed experts are not fully in agreement on this question, but Elizabeth Kennedy and Fabrice Czarnecki, M.D. have put their heads together in a very well thought out article that can address the concerns, facts and fictions about this very important question in a proper, rational manner.

Ultimately, what's best for baby is going to be Mom's call — if you don't believe us, try arguing the point with an armed mom (let us know how that worked out for you) — and the best thing that we can do is to make sure that she has as many facts as we can dig up to help her make an informed decision.

We hope you find it useful.
