The Grizzly Big Boar (G50BB) is a .50 BMG tactical rifle developed by L.A.R. Manufacturing Inc., a gunsmithing firm headquartered in West Jordan, Utah. It comes in a variety of finishes, from Standard Blue to Stainless Steel. Aside from these finish options, the rifle is a Bullpup single-shot gun, also featuring a pistol grip and bipod. As of 2007, this gun is highly unavailable to civilians, except with proper licensing.

[edit] Details

As of 2010, the rifle is only available in .50 BMG, with both match grade or field grade chambering available. It has an all steel construction with 4340 alloy steel bolt (Mil Spec 5000), heat treated to 46 R/C and 4140 alloy steel receiver, heat treated to 42 R/C. The barrel is 36x1.5 inches.

The considerable weight of the rifle, at more than 30 pounds[2], gives it a surprisingly low felt recoil, very similar to a 12 gauge shotgun - the lateral force from the muzzle brake though, is another matter, as videos below show.

Also included with the rifle are a Harris bipod, Weaver scope mount, leather cheek pad and hard carry case.
