To qualify as an Article of the Day (AOTD), a page should be:

* Directly related to the date in question somehow, such as:
** the date of birth/death of the person the page is dedicated to
** the date a firearm was adopted for use by a major military
** the date of the passing of significant legislation

* Well written, in such a manner that it provides useful information to the reader.
