Rhode Island: Smithfield Town Council Needs to Hear from You on AWB Opposition!

Second Amendment supporters in Smithfield, Rhode Island, are working to bring a resolution before the Town Council opposing the unconstitutional assault weapons ban (AWB) currently pending in the General Assembly. With 13 cities and towns across the Ocean State already having passed similar resolutions—and several more in the process—Smithfield can join the growing list of municipalities standing up for the rights of law-abiding gun owners.

 

Washington: Governor Ferguson Signs Permit-to-Purchase Legislation

On Tuesday, May 20th, Governor Bob Ferguson signed House Bill 1163, instituting a "permit to purchase" scheme for the purchase and transfer of firearms.

Maine: Committee Votes on Firearm Bills TOMORROW

On Thursday, May 22nd, the Joint Standing Committee on Judiciary will vote on four firearm-related bills. 

Michigan: House Committee Advances Hunter Education Bill

Today, the House Natural Resources and Tourism Committee voted to pass House Bill 4285, creating a pathway for hunter education to be taught in Michigan schools. This bill is now eligible for a vote on the House floor. Please use the Take Action button below to contact House members and voice your support for this important legislation.

 

Louisiana: Committee Advances One Anti-Gun and Three Pro-Gun Bills to House Floor

Yesterday, the House Administration of Criminal Justice Committee voted to advance four bills: one anti-gun bill, HB 220, and three pro-gun bills, HB 393, HB 407, and SB 101. These bills are now eligible for a House floor vote. Please click the TAKE ACTION link below to contact your State Representative NOW and urge them to oppose HB 220, and to support HB 393, HB 407, and SB 101.
