  • 1915 — Baron Arisaka Nariakira, the inventor of the Arisaka Rifle and regarded as one of the leading arms designers in Japanese history, died in Tokyo, Japan.
  • 1998: Laurens County, Georgia: 23-year old Deputy Kyle Dinkheller is brutally murdered by Andrew Brannan during a routine traffic stop. Dinkheller's execution was captured on his own patrol cruiser recorder after he pulled Brannan over for speeding.
