The snowball incident

- (While investigations are ongoing, there is event currently has no known direct connection with the Noodle Incident -Ed.)
In the days leading up to the US Supreme Court's historic Heller decision, gun grabbers everywhere hooted all their favorite prophecies of doom, including the ever-popular "fender bender shootouts" prognostication, into every microphone and TV camera they could find. Yes indeed, if the Supreme Court got rid of DC's big, shiny gun ban, there would be blood in the streets.
Sure enough, on December 19, 2009, (as the District of Columbia got dumped on by more snow then they'd seen in years) a bunch of kids were having a snowball fight in DC when a snowball hit some guy's Hummer and the driver hopped out and pulled a gun.
So there you have it, the gun grabbers were finally right about something. Sort of. The only problem with that is that Michael Baylor (NOT Elmer Baylor, as was initially reported by many), the clown that took a gun to a snowball fight, was an off-duty DC cop![1]
Timeline

- December 19, 2009 — Off-duty DC police detective Michael Baylor (earlier misidentified as Elmer Baylor) takes a gun to a snowball fight.
- May 4, 2011 — Kelowna BC RCMP Staff Sergeant Owen Wlodarczak, 41, is charged with assault, careless use of a firearm and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose following a domestic assault on his estranged wife in front of their children, aged 8 and 14.[4] The firearm used was his own RCMP-issued duty sidearm. He pleaded guilty to the charges levied against him on August 8 and sent to his room for three years.[5]
