1894 — The Krag-Jorgensen rifle is officially adopted as the standard rifle by the Norwegian Army. 2008 — American gun rights group Students for Concealed Carry on Campus begin their second Empty Holster protest. 2009 — The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the individual right to keep and bear firearms in the Second Amendment is incorporated against state and local governments under the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process Clause.
