SHOALWATER BAY TRAINING AREA, QUEENSLAND, Australia – Soldiers of 2nd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, provide security for the Amphibian Assault Vehicles of the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade’s 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, at Fresh Water Bay here, June 18, during an amphibious assault rehearsal in support of Talisman Saber 2007. Talisman Saber is conducted to train Australian and U.S. joint task force and operations staff in crisis action planning for execution of contingency operations. The exercise also supports increased interoperability, flexibility and readiness in winning the Global War on Terror.
