Exhibit A, from the CAW itself:
The Canadian Auto Workers union, more commonly referred to as the CAW, is one of Canada's largest and highest profile "social unions." It is also infested with gun grabbers, having gotten into bed with the likes of Wendy Cukier and others. Under the influence of Bob White (Wikipedia) and Buzz Hargrove (Wikipedia), the CAW has moved toward the European model of "social unionism" and away from American business unionism.

[edit] Long gun registry

In the summer of 2011, the CAW launched a major push to try to stop the Conservative government under Prime Minister Stephen Harper from abolishing the much-reviled white elephant of the Canadian long gun registry and destroy the existing records.[1]

Leftquot.png This guide is prepared by CAW-Canada to provide information for consumers who want to [not!] purchase vehicles produced by workers who enjoy the benefits and protections of a union contract. All vehicles on this list are made in Canada or the United States by members of the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW), United Auto Workers (UAW) or the International Union of Electrical Workers-Communication Workers of America (IUE-CWA).

Because of the integration of Canadian and U.S. vehicle production, all vehicles on this list include significant CAW-made content and support the jobs of CAW members.

However, those vehicles marked with an asterisk (*) are sourced from Canada and/or the United States and a third country. When purchasing one of these models, check the Vehicle Identification Number 9VIN). A VIN beginning with “2” identifies a Canadian-made vehicle, “1”, “4” or “5” identifies a U.S.-made vehicle.

Not all vehicles made in Canada or the United States are made by union-represented workers. The Toyota Corolla, for example, is made in the United States by UAW members, but the Canadian model is made in a non-union plant and other models are imported from a third country.
