This image, audio or video file is posted to GOROLE under the assertion that it falls under the terms of fair use in United States copyright law. Details on what may or may not qualify as fair use can be found on the Copyright policies page. Reasons for fair use include, but are not limited to, some of the following:

unique historic images
images used solely to illustrate the subject in question
images used to illustrate an article discussing a specific publication
images used to illustrate the product or brand in question
Promotional material regarding the person(s), product, event, or subject in question
where the image is unrepeatable, i.e. a free image could not be created to replace it
