ABOARD USS ESSEX – Pfc. David Lindsay, a rifleman with Company F of the Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and a Fort Worth, Texas native, fires his M16 A4 service rifle to battle site zero his new advanced combat optical gun sight on the elevator platform here May 10. About 190 Marines with Co. F, also known as the Blackhearts, conducted the shoot to adjust the new gun sights the company mounted on all of its rifles. The MEU and the Sasebo Forward Deployed Amphibious Ready Group are sailing toward the Kingdom of Thailand to participate in Exercise Cobra Gold 2006.
